Lower Shabelle Marine Lifesaving (LSML) is a dedicated organization focused on saving ocean lives, protecting marine ecosystems, and fostering sustainable coastal communities along the coastlines of Lower Shabelle, Somalia.
Lower Shabelle Marine Lifesaving (LSML) is a humanitarian and environmental organization in Somalia. Founded in 2023 by marine safety experts, it focuses on lifesaving and combating plastic pollution along the Lower Shabelle coastline.

The Plastic Pollution Education and Awareness Project by Lower Shebelle Marine Lifesaving (LSML), launched in 12th of November 2024, focuse on combating plastic pollution in Merka's town beach. As of now, we have successfully reached over 100 individuals...
Beach Clean-ups and Waste Management Initiatives
The Beach Clean-ups and Waste Management Initiatives by Lower Shabelle Marine Lifesaving (LSML), launched 12th and 22nd of November 2024,over 45 community members have participated, removing 7 metric tons of plastic waste and other debris.
Marine Conservation and Protection
Implementing conservation strategies to safeguard marine biodiversity, with a special focus on mitigating the impact of plastic pollution on marine life.
Collaboration with Environmental Organizations
Lower Shabelle Marine Lifesaving (LSML) actively collaborates with environmental organizations, local authorities, and communities to strengthen efforts in marine conservation and combating plastic pollution.
